This Is the Moment Millie Bobby Brown Shaved Her Head as ‘Eleven’

For people looking to change their appearance, a major haircut is usually the easiest path toward a complete transformation. Need proof? Netflix’s Stranger Things’s breakout star Millie Bobby Brown just shared what might be one of the biggest celebrity hair transformations we’ve seen yet.

Brown, 12, had to shave her head for the role as Jane ‘Eleven’ Ives on the hit show, and on Sunday she shared a video of the momentous occasion.

“Here it is!! The video of me getting my hair shaved for #StrangerThings! Enjoy! #buzzed,” she wrote alongside the video, which she shared on her Twitter account. See it for yourself, below:

The dramatic video is set to Beyoncé’s “Pretty Hurts,” and shows Millie’s lengthy brown locks being chopped off in a time-lapse clip. Even though she appears excited for the cut, Entertainment Weekly revealed that it took some encouraging to get her to go through with it.

“Fortunately, Mad Max: Fury Road was about to come out, so we pulled out a magazine photograph of Charlize Theron as Furiosa and showed it to Millie,” explained the series creators Matt and Ross Duffer. “‘Charlize looks totally badass, right?’ Millie agreed; Charlize looked badass. And that was it: She agreed to buzz it all off.”

However, convincing Millie wasn’t the only obstacle. Persuading her mother was even trickier. “My mom was like, ‘No! That’s not happening.’ And I was like, ‘Mom. You need to chill out; it’s gonna grow back,’” Millie told Elle magazine.

Ultimately, the young star went through with the cut, and we have to say, she certainly can pull it off.
