Jenna Dewan-Tatum hit the Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment Breakfast looking fresh faced and flawless—a true achievement for an early morning affair. But this seasoned Hollywood pro knows that when it comes to getting ready for an event—whether it’s a red carpet, a holiday party, or even your wedding—skin care is the first and most important step.

Earlier this week, the Witches of East End star was spotted driving around Los Angeles wearing a face mask. This type of sheet-style treatment is a great way to target skin concerns and get results quickly, especially when prepping for an event. Makeup artist Kayleen McAdams, who worked with Dewan-Tatum on her look for this event, says she also used Skyn Iceland’s Eye Gels before the breakfast for a little extra TLC.

As far as the beauty look goes, McAdams started by using CK One Color All Day Perfection Foundation and CK One Color 3-in-1 Concealer. She set the foundation with and set everything with a translucent powder (we like CoverGirl Professional Loose Powder, $6). “I used the contour shade of the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow palette to sculpt her cheeks, forehead and down the bridge of her nose,” says McAdams.

Next, she applied eyeliner to the top lid and topped it with a matte brown eyeshadow (try Sephora Collection Eyeshadow in Milk Chocolate Matte, $13). Then she used a shimmery lilac shade from Serge Lutens Eyeshadow Palette #2 in the inner eye area and the matte brown shadow to line the outer edge of the bottom lash line to create definition. “I defined the brows just a little and used two coats of CK One Color Volumizing Mascara in black on top and bottom lashes,” says McAdams.

“I wanted the lips to have a hint of color but nothing too bold and not too glossy,” she says. McAdams used Tarte Matte LipSurgence in Hope to get that sweet rosy color. The end result? A flawless complexion with a splash of color.
