The face oil category has become increasingly crowded, but one small-batch San Francisco brand is raising the bar with eco-lux formulas that have beauty industry folks like makeup artists Pati Dubroff and Gucci Westman along with celebs from Liv Tyler to Maggie Gyllenhaal buzzing. In Fiore, Italian for “flowered,” offers various floral-based oils in balm and liquid form as well as cleansers and creams. Founder Julie Elliott meticulously crafts all of the products in limited quantities to ensure quality and efficaciousness.

In Fiore’s unique formulas feature only the purest cold-pressed oils blended with floral absolutes and therapeutic essential fats, resulting in golden hued elixirs that feel and smell as decadent as they are wholesome. Perfumery as medicine is a key ethos of the brand. “In Fiore products have a very distinctive scent aesthetic and are well known for their exotic, full-bodied floral aromas,” says Elliot. “Our scents play a primary role in the efficacy of our products. Scent is like a catalyst that synergizes our formulations.”

Oils come in various concentrations to address key skin concerns: Calme is great for sensitive skin types, Nourrit combats signs of aging and suits drier skin types, and Pur is best for acne prone complexions. The brand’s signature balm Fleur Vibrant is suitable for all and its chic compact makes it a no-brainer for gym bags and travel kits. All blends boast a base of rosehips and calendula to promote tissue repair and cell regeneration along with jasmine blossoms to nourish and to impart general olfactory awesomeness.

The herbal infusions, floral waters and essential oils are all certified organic or wild-crafted from regions known to produce key raw materials: jasmine from India, rose from Bulgaria and neroli from France to name a few. The grapeseed oil, which is the backbone of all In Fiore oil blends, is derived from the seeds of the grapes after the wine is pressed and is certified Kosher and non-GMO. Nothing is ever heated and absolutely no synthetics are allowed.  This is thoughtfully sourced artisanal beauty at its very best.
