Serena Williams' Baby Is HERE
The baby everyone has been talking about for the past nine months is finally here! On Wednesday, Serena Williams entered St Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, where she gave birth to a baby girl, the BBC reports.
Her coach Patrick Mouratoglou confirmed the news over Twitter, writing, "Congratulations @SerenaWilliams for your baby girl. I am so happy for you and I feel your emotion. Recover well & enjoy without limitation." U.S. Open tennis similarly tweeted, ".@serenawilliams won a new title on Day 5 at the #USOpen: Mom."
Venus Williams was at the U.S. Open when she heard the announcement, and she said in an interview before her match, "Obviously I'm super excited, words can't describe."
Serena also got congratulations from another celebrity who recently gave birth, Beyoncé. Bey shared a photo of pregnant Serena on Instagram with overlaid text reading "congratulations Serena!"
Kelly Rowland shared the same photo, writing, "NUMBER #1 had baby number 1 on a 1! Congratulations to my incredible friend on the birth of her little one! So PROUD OF YOU! #playdates #goAlexis."
Fellow tennis player Rafael Nadal chimed in with "Congrats Serena!!! So much joy for you!!!"
The whole internet is thrilled about the news, and many are already predicting that this kid will become an amazing tennis player.
