It wasn’t the models on the runway that everyone was talking about at the Louis Vuitton Cruise 2016 show. But it was the David Bowie inspired faces that greeted guests as they arrived at the Bob Hope’s space-age house in Palm Springs that have been filling up chic Instagram feeds.

Leave it to makeup artist extraordinaire Pat McGrath to create a seriously cool, seriously bold beauty look for models mingling among guests (and eating popsicles) before the show began. And that epic hair? The work of stylist Paul Hanlon.

The runway itself had more of a laid-back vibe, with models sporting loose, easy textured hair and minimal makeup — except for the occasional series of dots placed above and below brows. Brows are definitely in the spotlight for this cruise season (on Monday, in Seoul, South Korea, Chanel sent models with pencil defined brows down their cruise runway).

While the David Bowie look might be a little bit intense for everyday, we have a good feeling we will see this brow detail popping up at music festivals (and maybe even in the office) this summer.
