Nude Party Makeup

You don’t need a bright red lip or a strong eye to look amazing. Sometimes subtle colors can make more of an impact than bolder looks. Evening out the skin and adding soft gray shadows, dusty plum blush, and glossy deep pink lips add up to a beautiful transformation. Here’s how to get the look:

Step One: Even out your skin by applying a sheer tinted moisturizer. Use your fingers to apply and blend.

Step two: Use a spot concealer to cover blemishes, blending with your fingers. Note, that this shouldn’t be the same concealer you use for underneath your eyes (that is a shade lighter). Spot concealer should be an exact match with your skin color.

Step Three: Set the tinted moisturizer and concealer with a loose powder that matches your skin tone. Apply with a puff for more coverage.

Maybelline Shine Free Oil Control Powder ($4)

MAC Select Sheer Loose Powder ($23)

Step four: Take a stiff angled brush and eye shadow in the same color as your brows and fill in any gaps with shadow. To tame and shape brows, finish by applying clear brow gel.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel ($22)

Sonia Kashuk Brow Gel ($5.99)

Step five: Sweep a soft gray eye shadow from the lash line to the crease using an eyeshadow brush. Then layer a slightly deeper shimmery gray in the crease for definition.

Step six: Apply a thin line of eyeliner from the outside corner all the way across to the inner corner.

Revlon Colorstay Liner ($5)

Step seven: Apply several coats of black mascara to extend and define lashes.

Step eight: Use a blush brush to add a burst of dusty plum blush to the apples of cheeks.
