Marc Jacobs, who is featuring a slew of personalities in his spring ad campaign, revealed the latest one Thursday night on Instagram, racking up 5,734 likes by the morning. Dan Donigan, aka Milk, a drag queen, was photographed for the campaign by David Sims and styled by Katie Grand.

On his Instagram, Jacobs wrote that one night while watching RuPaul’s Drag Race, he recognized one of his men’s sweaters on a “tall, handsome contestant” and realized that his “unique artistic drag sensibility” reminded him of his club days at The Pyramid Club, Copacabana and other New York haunts he used to go to. Once Jacobs figured out it was Milk, who used to work at Marc Jacobs, he started following him @bigandmilky on Instagram.

Jacobs’ spring campaign represents a personal diary of people who inspire him and open his mind to different ways of seeing and thinking.

As reported, the first portrait for the campaign is of Lana Wachowski, formerly Larry Wachowski, who directed “The Matrix” with her brother Andy Wachowski and came out publicly about her gender transition from male to female in 2012. Also featured are Sandra Bernhard and Bette Midler.
