Get the Look: Jennifer Lawrence’s ‘Hunger Games’ Premiere Beauty

Jennifer Lawrence is definitely a beauty trendsetter. Since debuting a platinum lob at the start of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 press tour, her beauty looks have kept us on our toes. Lawrence is growing out a pixie cut, and her new icy blonde locks serve as #inspo to take full advantage of mid-length hair. Her styles throughout the tour have ranged from updos to deep side parts and major volume inspired by the mod 1960s. Her accompanying makeup looks are no exception, flaunting lined smoky eyes, peachy nude lips, coral cheeks, and last night, a bold plum lip and dark, lined eyes channeling 90s style.

If your hair is in a transitional length like J. Law’s, but you don’t have a posse of personal stylists working on your touch-ups, her hairstylist Jenny Cho has a few tips. Whether you’re looking for an easy way to wear your mid-length hair every day or you want something edgy and fun, Cho says the transition should be easy. She thinks the growing out short hair is all about getting trims as you go along. “Ask your stylist to just taper the nape area and ask to take the weight out throughout the top, back and sides without cutting the length since it will have a tendency to get round and heavy,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “After getting this trim, you should be able to wake up, apply a little pomade or cream to ends and it just looks super chic and effortless.” If these six looks prove anything, it’s that Lawrence is lucky to have Cho, and makeup artist Jillian Dempsey, by her side during this press tour.
