The Liquid Lipstick Jennifer Aniston, Emma Roberts, and More Celebs Have Secretly Been Wearing

There’s a simple reason why famous faces, including Kate Moss, Kim Kardashian, Salma Hayek, Rihanna, and Liv Tyler, look to British makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury. She knows exactly how to create products that not only make women look even more beautiful, but feel confident in applying themselves without the help of a professional.

Tilbury is expanding her line of fabulous, foolproof cosmetics with a new matte liquid lipstick, launching in August. Wanting to develop a product that doesn’t feel like “car paint” or make you look like Imhotep in the film The Mummy Returns, her new Hollywood Matte Contour Liquid Lipsticks are formulated with hydrating, smoothing, and plumping ingredients like beeswax, collagen, and hyaluronic acid. According to Tilbury, the crescent-shaped applicator is “like a hug to give your lips a lot of love, perfectly contour, and create a perfect lip line.”

Inspired by Tinseltown’s Golden Age, the beauty guru’s lineup of matte liquid lipsticks is comprised of 10 shades, which include a signature pink-beige nude called Charlotte’s Darling. The other colors are: Dangerous Liaison (warm rusty rose), Best Actress (soft, creamy nude-brown), Show Girl (rose berry), Rising Star (warm pink), Pin-Up Pink (shimmery coral pink), Platinum Blonde (light peachy nude), Screen Siren (classic ruby red), Dolly Bird (cool pale pink), and Too Bad I’m Bad (warm rosy pink).

Like most cosmetics creators, Tilbury gave Hollywood Liquid Lips a test-drive on her celebrity clients. She revealed to a group of beauty editors at a New York City preview event on Wednesday that Sienna Miller, Suki Waterhouse, Emma Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, and Helen Mirren have swiped on the yet-to-be-released lipsticks. And, of course, Mirren wore Best Actress.

Having already achieved the star stamp of approval, Tilbury’s new matte liquid lipsticks will be a favorite, we’re sure, among makeup lovers who can appreciate a well-made product.

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Liquid Lips ($34) will be available Aug. 17 at charlottetilbury.com.
