If you've ever had one of those days - or weeks - at work where you're so stressed out you've thought about quitting, did you consider switching careers to become an audiologist or a pharmacy technician? Both of those jobs are among of the least stressful careers you can have, according to Careercast.com's 2017 Jobs Rated report. In their report, they tracked 200 different jobs and ranked them by how stressful they each were according to a "criteria of 11 factors designed to evaluate workplace stress," according to their website.

Those 11 criteria included:

  • Travel

  • Career Growth Potential

  • Physical Demands

  • Environmental Conditions

  • Hazards Encountered

  • Meeting the Public

  • Competition

  • Risk of Death or Grievous Injury

  • Immediate Risk of Another's Life

  • Deadlines

  • Working in the Public Eye

This means that, according to Careercast.com, "a job with little-to-no travel, promising growth opportunities, an immediate urgency or risk of death or severe harm, and relative anonymity from the public . . . scores as less stressful."

A less stressful job doesn't mean making less, either. Five out of 10 jobs on this list have a median annual income of over $60,000.

What else do these jobs have in common? The dominating sectors on this list include careers in healthcare, IT, and business - all are important fields that are also showing job growth.
