It’s been said that in life, there are no shortcuts. But when it comes to getting smoother, softer, practically-poreless skin, I beg to differ. And it’s all because of blurring cream. Not unlike Photoshop, blurring products mask blemishes, wrinkles, and other “imperfections” thanks to silicone, which acts as a filler of sorts. Sure, they won’t give you the same long-term glow as a clean diet or bi-monthly facials, but for the less disciplined among us, blurring creams are the answer to our prayers.
That said, Lancôme Visionnaire 1-Minute Blur ($55) is one of the best on the market. Like most blurrers, this formula works alone (as the perfect base for no-makeup makeup) or as a primer over which foundation can be directly applied. But what really stands out is the fact that this formula also contains anti-aging ingredients—think antioxidants and retinol-derivatives—shown to reduce fine lines over time. A quick fix for wrinkles that also works as a long-term solution? I’ll take ten, please.
