At home in the Santa Monica mountains, Shiva Rose lives what she calls both a holistic and authentic lifestyle. After giving birth to her first daughter in her early twenties, Rose, an activist, philanthropist and actress, was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition that forced her to adopt a more holistic way of life. Now Ms. Rose authors The Local Rose, her online endeavor, where she shares her great discoveries on the path to good living. Next month she’ll be performing in a production of John Steinbeck’s Sweet Thursday at the Pacific Resident Theatre in Venice, CA, but before taking the stage, Rose shared some Golden State gems that suit her taste for bohemian glamour.
