When deciding whether to purchase any makeup item, you’re probably not prioritizing a specific smell — just that it smells pleasant or neutral.

But what if it smells bad? That’s another thing altogether.

Customers have reportedly said that not only do Kylie Jenner’s eyeshadows smell strange, but they are even saying that they cause “chemical-induced” headaches.

According to TMZ, at least 15 Kylie Cosmetics buyers have complained about the items, even claiming that they have given them headaches.

Not only did customers say that the famous Kyshadows smelled like “chemicals and glue”; one said the smell of the Royal Peach shade was so sickening she had to keep it out of the house.

At least one customer apparently complained to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) about a “horrible headache” too.

The BBB told TMZ that Jenner’s line launched an investigation immediately and found that an adhesive in the packaging was causing the smell — which is reassuring (no one wants to put stinky things on their face).

There is no word as to whether the eyeshadows will get new packaging, so if you’re worried about the smell, be warned.
