Kylie Jenner Cut Her Hair Short (For Real!) — Possibly Because of Damage

On Monday, Kylie Jenner debuted a sleek black bob haircut on Snapchat, and it was collected in the Instagram account @kylizzlesnapchats.

Jenner is known for wearing wigs — she has a “glam room” in her house dedicated to the collection — that keep the press, and her fans, guessing about the length and color of her actual hair. But the 19-year-old’s frank caption on the shot showcasing her new ’do was pretty direct:

“The gag is … I had to cut off all my hair today.”

Not only does this statement seem to confirm that her hair was actually chopped to her shoulders, but by using the phrase “had to,” Jenner insinuates that razing her long, dark locks wasn’t exactly her own choice — it was her stylists’. And why do we ever “have to” cut off our hair? Because it’s damaged from too many dye jobs.

Then, the reality star posted an additional Snapchat, zooming in to show the little patch of broken blond hairs her colorist missed — or avoided.

In response to the shot, a fan tweeted her asking if that was her real hair, and Jenner responded with a simple answer: “Yes it is.”

So there you go.

Less than two weeks ago Jenner debuted a platinum blond bob — which was her first major hair transformation of 2016 — and a few days later her hair was long and dark again for the Golden Globes, where she made headlines by twinning in a topknot with older sister Kendall.

While any of these styles could be a wig (she’s big on them), we theorize that the blond one has to have been the wig, because otherwise, what hair did she have to “chop off”? Then again, if it was always dark and long, where did the blond bits in her newest Snap come from?

We’re guessing she dyed her sideburns when she debuted the wig, just in case any of her natural hair was visible. That, or Jenner has superhuman hair. Please leave your theories in the comments, below.
