Today, Chanel announced that Kristen Stewart is the newest face of their beauty product line. The Twilight actress will front a new campaign called the 2016 Eyes Collection, shot by Mario Testino which will debut in March.

Chanel is Stewart’s red carpet uniform from makeup to gown, so the beauty campaign has been a long time coming. She is also a brand favorite and has been a muse to creative director Karl Lagerfeld for years. She appeared in the 2014 campaign for Chanel’s Métiers d’Art Paris-Dallas collection, starred in the brand’s short film Once and Forever for the Métiers d’Art fashion show in Rome last December, and even opened Chanel’s haute couture catwalk last July alongside other actresses like Julianne Moore and Lily-Rose Depp.

Stewart’s classic and edgy looks aren’t all that won the brand over. A Chanel spokesperson told Us Weekly that it’s actually “her modern, magnetic beauty, and free spirit,” that Chanel loves. Her latest campaign will include “a series of portraits embodying various facets of the contemporary Chanel woman,” the spokesperson added. Stewart joins Keira Knightley, Gisele Bündchen, and Blake Lively as a Chanel brand ambassador. Her beauty campaign isn’t all the duo has in the works. Stewart will also be the face of the Paris in Rome 2015/16 Métiers d’art fashion collection advertising campaign to be unveiled in May 2016, so look forward to seeing even more of her work with Chanel in the future.
