Kourtney Kardashian’s Cold-Fighting Tea Recipe

Kourtney Kardashian, the organic-loving, extended breastfeeding, natural-birthing member of the Kardashian family, shared a very timely at-home recipe for a tea drink she swears helps fight the symptoms of a cold, saying, “I especially recommend it for scratchy throats! I keep it covered on the stove until we are ready for more. I drink three cups a day when I am feeling sick.” With throat-soothing ingredients like ginger and mint and antioxidant powerhouse tumeric, this warming drink is just like what your mom used to make and should provide some relief if you’re fighting a cold.

Serves 2

Ingredients

1 quart water

1 red apple (sliced into quarters)

2 cinnamon sticks

8 whole cloves

¼ teaspoon turmeric

1-inch cube ginger (sliced)

1 bunch mint

1 lemon

¼ teaspoon ground cardamom

Organic manuka honey

Instructions

Add water, apple, cinnamon sticks, cloves, turmeric, ginger, mint, and cardamom to a large pot. Squeeze half of lemon into pot, thinly slice other half. Bring pot to boil. Simmer for 10 minutes, covered. Add 1 teaspoon of honey to bottom of each mug. Strain tea over honey in mug to dissolve.
