Malika Haqq is famously known as Khloé Kardashian‘s best friend, as well as the previous fling of Rob Kardashian. But now she’s stepping into her own spotlight on Famously Single.

Things are already heating up on the second season of the E! reality show, and there’s no doubt that the celebrities are getting out of their comfort zones. With a number of recognizable faces, the series is showing a different and more vulnerable side to the stars, as they get to the root of some emotional issues with Dr. Darcy Sterling.

Haqq chatted exclusively with Yahoo Beauty about her journey on the show and how she continues to keep it real offscreen.

Yahoo Beauty: How did you end up on Famously Single?

Haqq: I was a little bit intimidated about the whole idea of living in a house with seven other strangers. But, ultimately, I guess when it comes to love, I’ve been encouraged by both my friends and my family to try something different. It definitely wasn’t as easy as I thought it was gonna be. It was actually quite challenging, but you know, I’m walking away from this experience pretty happy that I did do it. Because I know some more things about myself, and that was what I went into it hoping to achieve. I will tell you that Ronnie and I happen to be the most interesting relationship in the house. I mean it’s a very biased thing for me to say, but honey, it’s true.

Famously Single Season 2 airs tomorrow only on E! At 10pm

What is the most valuable thing you’ve learned from the experience?

In order for me to truly find what I think is best for me, I gotta give myself more time. I feel like most of my relationships have been so rushed, and you end up making a lot of mistakes that way. It’s like, look, if something’s worth having or gonna stick around, there is no need for rush. And I think we live in such a hurry-up kind of world that everybody ends up rushing and making decisions and turning around going, oh my God I really should’ve given myself a little more time to think that through. And it’s crazy ’cause I ended up in the house and I did the exact same thing, rushing into a relationship with Ronnie. But it took this experience for me to realize. This is the wall you keep running your head up against. Slow down.

Is there any pressure coming from friends or family to settle down?

I think my mom often just worries about me being alone. And probably even worries more so that I’m so comfortable that way. I’m like, you guys I am not struggling over here. I am doing all right. It’s funny because Khloé’s No. 1 thing was like go have fun. I think she feels like in some way, I just don’t really date. And I think that was the one thing that she felt like, you have nothing to lose here and everything to gain, if you go in like open-minded and whatever, so that’s exactly what I tried to do.

Speaking of Khloé, you had a bit of an argument that aired on an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians that revolved around both of your relationships. How was that resolved?

I think that Khloé and I know very well at this point how to disagree and move past it. We are so close, so we don’t go through our turmoil in our relationship by ourselves. Sometimes we just butt heads — we don’t always agree on everything. And you know, I might not like some of the choices she made in men, and she might not like some of the choices that I’ve made in men, simply because of the outcome. But ultimately, that will never keep us from supporting or being by each other’s side we’re sisters.

You’ve made a few appearances in Khloé’s daily workout Snapchats. What is your workout routine?

I work out four days a week. I have a gym in my garage. It’s definitely a way of life for me. I do not work out as hard as Khloé does. I think that Khloé is secretly training to be some athlete and she’s just not telling anyone. But her workouts are incredibly intense, but it’s her idea of quality time with me. So, you know, that’s the sacrifice. Every now and then, I go and try to suffer through one of her workouts.

What’s something you’ve learned about beauty while being in Hollywood?

I think that one thing I have found personally that is very very important when it comes to beauty is cleanliness and hydrating. I believe in like cleaning your face properly and who knows, it might mean having to go out to a dermatologist and get a good product that works for your skin, or it might be something over-the-counter that’s just easy for you to do with a nightly regimen. Whatever it is, cleanliness is so important. I swear when you’re good to your skin, your skin is good to you.

Are you a no-makeup makeup kind of girl?

I love makeup. It’s a huge part of what I like to do when it comes to getting ready. But I think there’s nothing like not having to wear makeup. I still wear it in the summertime, probably something lighter like tinted moisturizer and SPF, which is incredibly important.

What about your style?

I just wear what I like. And that might include mixing highs and lows. I have no problem with wearing a $30 dress something affordable or easy to get to — with something that’s also high-end. I don’t really wear affordable bags and shoes, I’d say. I feel like, anyone you’re truly close to that you admire in some way. The way that they do things becomes attractive or appealing to you. Like, there’s some days that I completely dress like my sister, there’s some days I’ll completely dress like Khloé. And then I’ll go a week of being the complete, you know, completely doing Malika. But I’m so influenced by them because I love the way they look. I think I learned how to wear sneakers from my sister, ’cause it was so not something I would do.

I GOT YOU!

What’s the best part about being “famously single”?

I’m able to do whatever I wanna do when I wanna do it. So it’s been a little bit selfish, but at the same time, if and when that guy comes around, I will know it, and I will be willing to sacrifice some of my freedom to have a successful relationship. It just hasn’t happened yet. I think you gotta be comfortable too with being by yourself. It’s really really important.
