Kendall Jenner Proves Topknots Rule at the 2015 AMAs

Sunday night’s American Music Awards were full of wacky beauty looks and dramatic transformations (see Gigi Hadid’s new sleek bob), but if one hair trend reigned supreme, it was the top knot. Kendall Jenner hit the red carpet with new fringe (we’re assuming they are clip-ins) and a sporty topknot that added a few extra inches to her supermodel height.

Jenner wasn’t the only one sporting the look at the award show, Christina Milian and Karrueche Tran also rocked the trendy look. Tran, who also tried out bangs for the night, went for more of an undone, messy knot that balanced out her sparkly cut out dress. Milian on the other hand, kept things super sleek, going for a tight, twisted knot that worked well with her slinky black slip dress.

The evening’s host, Jennifer Lopez, also took to the stage with a topknot following her opening performance. It’s a style she’s embraced many times in the past, including at the Grammy Awards in 2013 and in her role as a judge on American Idol. One thing is for sure, this style isn’t going anywhere.
