Kate Middleton and Prince William Will Reportedly Be Dropping Prince George Off At School Themselves

Prince George, as we know, is going to be starting school this fall. He will be enrolled at Thomas’s Battersea, a bit of a drive from where his family will be living at Kensington Palace.

And according to a Daily Mail source, Kate and William will be making the school run themselves, driving the three-year-old in the morning. “It’s very important to both of them that George enjoys as normal a childhood as possible, particularly as he settles into a new school, and for them this includes dropping him off at the school gates,” the source said.

Imagine waiting in the drop-off lane at school, handing your child her backpack, reminding her that there’s a pudding in her lunch bag, and then looking up and seeing the back of Kate Middleton’s head in the car in front of you. As she gives Prince George a goodbye pat on the head before he gets out of the car, you whisper, “Oh, hold on, honey, we’ll get back to the pudding in a second: let me just watch this.”

A different source says that, “Kate wants George—and later Charlotte—to have the same school experience that she did as a child. Both she and William very much agree on this and think George will be very, very happy [at the school.” Additionally, “They are very hands on parents and although they acknowledge that it might cause a it of a buzz to start with, they are hopeful it will soon settle down.”

Will Kate come in for a “Bring Your Parents In To Talk About Their Job” day? Will William stand on the sidelines during T-ball games?! Will they be those parents who were weirdly just in the cafeteria during lunch a lot and seemed to be super tight with all the teachers?! And will George ever be embarrassed of them, in the way any other kids might be, or is it technically impossible to feel any sort of embarrassment when Kate Middleton and Prince William are the parents in question?
