Derek Zoolander and Justin Bieber might have more in common after all—other than being really, really, ridiculously good looking. Today, Justin Bieber posted a photo of himself giving his best Blue Steel to Ben Stiller (who plays Derek Zoolander in the comedic film). Don’t panic, Beliebers: The pop star’s spiky hair is just a wig. “#itsawignotmynewhair,” he confirmed on Instagram. On April 27, he posted on Facebook alluding to a big project in Europe, where the highly-anticipated Zoolander 2 is filming, and referencing a joke from the original film: “Working on something big right now in Europe. To learn more follow me on Fahlo. He is so hot right now.”

Just last week, Bieber teased his fans with an image of his haircut on Instagram, writing, “This is gone.” Meanwhile, Nine Zero One salon in Los Angeles simultaneously Instagrammed a photo of a pile of blond hair with the caption: “Guess who?” Some had speculated that the singer chopped off his damaged bleached ends, and he’s been covering up his new 'do all week with fedora hats. Now it seems the Biebs had another trick up his sleeve.

If early reveals are any indication, Zoolander 2 will be memorable and perhaps even funnier than the original film from 2001. Stiller and Owen Wilson had a walk off at the Fall 2015 Valentino Ready-to-Wear show in Paris back in March, blurring the lines between fashion and parody. (And when we look at the controversies and antics in the fashion industry in the past few years, is there a difference?) Bieber, in real life, has legitimate modeling accolades as the face (and body) of Calvin Klein Underwear, taking after ‘90s heartthrob Mark Wahlberg. Bieber will join Stiller, Wilson, Will Ferrell Penelope Cruz, Kristen Wiig, Kanye West, Fred Armisen, and Billy Zane (who had a memorable cameo in the original film) in the sequel, which hits theaters February 12, 2016.

Hansel and Zoolander, meet your match. You may need a new “look.”
