Jourdan Dunn’s Matchy Makeup at the Tony Awards

Jourdan Dunn just jumped into our favorite makeup trend full throttle and matched everything on her face to everything on her body. Sounds intense, but the model’s blushed cheeks, lips, and lids match her rosy Zac Posen dress in such a subtle way that you have to squint to see it. “To keep her look soft and fresh, we went with a minimal makeup look with a twist,” said Maybelline makeup artist Renee Garnes. The matchiness lends a slight edge to an otherwise very romantic and classic look, and we did a double take when we saw Jourdan’s look.

Garnes wanted Dunn to look soft instead of structured and strobed, and used Maybelline New York Dream Velvet Foundation with Maybelline New York FaceStudio Master Contour to give Dunn a soft contour and highlight with a demi-matte finish that looks soft and velvety. She finished off Jourdan’s skin with the blush shade in the contour palette to give the apples of her cheeks a rosy flush.

Her eyes were completed using the Maybelline New York The Blushed Nudes Palette with a wash of light pink shimmery shadow on the lids and a subtle contour above the crease. Garnes tightlined Dunn’s eyes to make them pop, and added drama with Maybelline New York Lash Sensational Luscious Luscious mascara on the top and bottom.

Garnes brushed out Dunne’s brows and filled them in with powder from Maybelline New York Brow Drama Pro Palette, then using the wax for definition. Using the same highlighter that she used on Dunn’s cheekbones, Garnes highlighted the brow bones using her finger. She finished off the look with a soft pink lip using Maybelline New York Color Sensational Lip Liner in Rose followed by Maybelline New York Baby Lips Lip Gloss in Pink-a-Boo and Taupe with Me.

Dunn amped up the volume and the romance with a subtle windswept ‘do with a center part, barrel waves, and a half-up chignon by Jennifer Yepez.
