Watch Misty Copeland's Awesome New Commercial
It’s not often an ad is completely moving, but Under Armour's new 60-second spot with Misty Copeland is incredibly powerful. Copeland, who we profiled here on Yahoo Beauty, is seen dancing en pointe while a stinging rejection is read in the background. The words we hear are a composite of all the rejection letters Misty received along the way, including the line, "You have the wrong body for ballet."
As Copeland leaps and pirouettes across the stage, there is such a sense of joy in knowing that she proved them all wrong. Copeland never gave up and ignored her detractors. She is now a soloist for the prestigious American Ballet Theatre in NYC.
