Hot Spot: A Gwyneth Paltrow Approved Shopping Destination

If you’re planning to do any holiday shopping in New York City over the next few weeks, make sure you stop by Gwyneth Paltrow’s goop mrkt. The pop-up shop, which runs through December 24, is packed full of goop-approved goodies, from a special capsule collection of clothing in collaboration with Valentino (the studded leather jacket is already sold out) to matcha green tea lattes. But the best part of the shop is by far the selection of beauty products.
Brands like S.W. Basics, Beauty Counter, and Ursa Major line the shelves and decorate the counter of a mock bathroom set up near the back of the shop. All of the brands featured have earned Gwynnie’s “Clean Beauty” seal, meaning they hold themselves to a high standard when it comes to using safe, non-toxic ingredients despite the lack of regulation when it comes to product formulation here in the United States.

If you’re just diving into the world of good-for-you beauty, the goop mrkt selection offers the perfect starting point with products for both men and women. Rodin Crema Luxury Hand and Body Cream ($84), Tata Harper’s Resurfacing Mask ($55), and Kjaer Weis’ Lip Tint Compact in Lovers Choice ($49) are on the top of my wish list. And while you can stock up on these products at shops throughout the city, it’s nice to have them all in one very beautiful spot.
