These Horses Have Really Amazing Haircuts

While you’re running to get your dog a puppy-cut for the summer, you might want to take some inspiration from these hair-trendy horses. England-based JMC Equestrian Custom Clipping is getting creative with its equine cuts, giving freehand buzzes to the already mystical animals. The company, which does seasonal clippings to relieve horses from the heat, has gotten creative this summer, and Melody Hames is the woman behind the magic.

The custom clipper’s Facebook page features photos and videos of the clippings, while also highlighting certain reasons behind each cut to show that it’s not all just for fun. “Toasty warm,” JMC noted about the horse in the photo above. “He has a custom made under fleece which covers his neck to keep out the cold under his other two rugs. You were correct we wouldn’t leave a horse to be cold.”

And while these cuts do serve the purpose of keeping horses cool during the summer, as well as avoiding matted hair, there’s no doubt that JMC and other clippers are also looking to be creative with the creatures’ looks. “Clipping each horse teaches me something new and it’s because of you guys that I am able to do what I do,” Hames captioned a photo, expressing a passion for her art.

Meanwhile, in other horse style news, some are apparently getting help expressing their fabulosity through dyed manes, which result in a more punk-inspired look. Whichever route you take with your animals, be sure to keep them safe while you get your creative on.
