Here’s the Deal With Kim Kardashian’s New Lipstick

News of Kim Kardashian’s lipstick collaboration dropped today, sparking excitement among her fans — and a little confusion. Could it finally be time for Kardashian to launch her own makeup line?
Kim won’t be releasing her own lipstick quite yet, but she is one of 12 celebrity women collaborating with makeup legend Charlotte Tilbury on a collection of lipsticks. The collection, Hot Lips, honors famous women that Charlotte knows and works with — think Salma Hayek, Liv Tyler, Sienna Miller, Kate Bosworth, Miranda Kerr, and more. Each celeb was involved in the shade named after her, and all of the colors evoke their signature looks.
Miranda Kerr recently debuted her color, a striking bombshell matte red, at the InStyle Awards. Tilbury’s website details how to get the look.
Kim’s color, Kim K.W., is a dark, shimmery nude — a shade Tilbury thinks is perfect for the reality star. “Kim is the queen of the nude lip, and this vintage inspired pale pink nude makes lips look instantly fuller, and irresistible,” Tilbury told Cosmo UK. “When she wears this colour, she evokes the 1960’s tartlets like Raquel Welch and Sophia Loren.”
