Go for Bold: Try a Colorful Eyeliner

Want to really step up your eyeliner game this spring? Give a swipe of color a go. We’re taking our inspiration from the spring Dior show, where makeup artist Peter Philips applied a thin strip of satin that mimicked eyeliner in pink, peach, lemon, or pistachio to models’ lids. At first, wearing yellow liner might sound totally crazy—it’s admittedly not the most versatile—but done in a simple, clean way, it’s cool and surprising (and perfect for a weekend spent dancing in the desert in Palm Springs).

Makeup artist Janessa Paré suggests keeping it playful and wearing one of your favorite colors when trying out this bright trend. You can also find a liner color that compliments your skin tone—if you have cool undertones try a blue liner, warm undertones go for yellow or orange. Pick up one of Stila’s Smudge Sticks ($20) or Make Up For Ever’s Aqua Eyes ($19) liner, both come in over a dozen shades.

What do you think? Would try a color liner?
