Last night, fashion designer Stella McCartney presented her pre-fall 2015 collection at the Burden Mansion in New York City. Models filled the space playing ping pong and games of mini golf, but it was their super glossy lips and flawless skin that really stood out on the chilly night.

With nude makeup so prevalent on the runways, getting a flawless complexion has become even more important backstage. Since 2011, skincare guru Sunday Riley has been responsible for perfecting the complexions of models backstage at McCartney’s shows with her signature flash facial. The process is really simple and only takes a few minutes. After cleansing skin, a combination of Riley’s Good Genes Treatment and Ceramic Slip Cleanser is applied to the skin as a mask. Thanks to lactic acid and French green clay, the mask helps to exfoliate and brighten the skin. The treatment finishes with Start Over Active Eye Cream applied to reduce any under eye puffiness and a few drops of Artemis Hydroactive Face Oil on the skin for extra radiance.

Aveda Global Creative Director Antoinette Beenders was behind the simple ‘do at the presentation. She used Aveda’s Pure Abundance Style-Prep to prep damp hair before blowing it out—using a comb instead of a brush to keep hair sleek and flat to the head. The under layer of hair was then curled loosely to create a natural looking wave before being pulled into a low ponytail. “The clothes are quite done, so we wanted the hair to be a bit more undone,” said Beenders.

For makeup, celebrity makeup artist Gucci Westman wanted something that was pretty, aspirational, and chic. “It’s super fresh, luminous skin with a naughty, super glossy mouth,” said Westman. “Everything is quite clean, and I thought a glossy mouth would add a little something.” Westman applied a clear gloss to lips using her finger for a more natural finish. “It’s all about the gloss on the lip!” McCartney herself chimed in. “It’s natural, sexy Stella.” Westman finished skin using Revlon SkinLights Face Illuminator and applied brown mascara to top lashes only. The final result? A perfect look to warm you up this winter.
