Gigi Hadid Wore HUNDREDS of Crystals on Her Nails to the American Music Awards

Sunday night’s American Music Awards brought us so much excellent glam, we’ve got enough beauty inspiration to last well into the end of the year. High on our list of favorites was supermodel Gigi Hadid, who ditched her beachy beauty aesthetic for a bombshell moment that was total red carpet goals. Between her voluminous bronde hair, statement lip, and eye contouring trick, we kind of forgot all about what was on her nails. That quickly changed this morning, when we woke to the sight of one extremely pricey manicure. See all the photos here.
You may recall that Gigi wore a $2,000 chrome mani to this year’s Met Gala. Mar y Soul, her nail artist, explained that she embedded three crystals under each nail for an extra hint of sparkle, which explain the sky-high price tag. If 30 crystals translates to a $2,000 price tag, then we can’t even fathom how much Gigi’s AMAs nail art must have cost. According to Mar y Soul’s Instagram caption, her latest mani was “encrusted in hundreds of @Swarovski crystals.” Um, does that mean we’re looking at manicure that costs more than your tuition? That remains unclear for now, but we do know that those nails managed to sparkle even brighter than her Versace frock — and that in itself is pretty impressive.
