The path to clear, glowing wedding-day skin starts at the bathroom sink. Creams, serums and masks can be miracle workers for acne, dryness, and sensitivity, but without the right cleanser, any pesky skin problem will probably stick around when it’s time to walk down the aisle. Banish them for good by finding a cleanser that’s right for your skin type, like one of these new purifying picks.
If you have normal or combination skin
Try a foaming cleanser, which refreshes without overdrying. Jurlique’s Herbal Recovery Antioxidant Cleansing Mousse ($34, available at Amazon) is chock-full of antioxidant oils and extracts like jojoba, grapeseed, and rose hip, which fight aging as they remove impurities.

If you have oily skin or acne
Don’t be afraid to get muddy! GlamGlow’s Supecleanse Daily Clearing Cleanser ($39, available at GlamGlow) changes from mud to foam as it lathers, pulling excess oil from your skin as it removes dirt and makeup. Or try charcoal, a natural purifier. In Biore’s Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser ($7, available at Ulta), it penetrates deep into pores to dig out dirt, leaving behind a tingly clean feeling.
If you have dry skin
Give it a shot of moisture with cleansing oil, which removes dirt and makeup while it moisturizes. We love BareMinerals Mineralixirs Facial Cleansing Oil ($50, available at Bare Escentuals). It contains a blend of botanical extracts, including saffron seed oil and rosehip seed oil, that work together to make skin look shinier and softer.

If you have sensitive skin
What could be gentler than water? Simple’s Micellar Cleansing Water ($7, available at Drugstore.com) uses natural, sensitive-skin friendly ingredients (read: no harsh chemicals, artificial fragrance or dyes) to remove makeup without irritating alcohol-based cleansers. Plus, it’s infused with vitamins B3 and C, which give skin a brightening boost.
