Fergie cut 13 inches off her hair and you can watch her do it

It’s that time of year when everyone is making bold moves in search of their summer hair. We’ve already seen Chrissy Teigen with a “don’t cut the front” ‘do and a Victoria’s Secret model go super-short with a pixie cut. Now, Fergie from the Black-Eyed Peas is making an almost-as-drastic cut. And she did it all on Instagram.

In a trippy Instagram video posted this week by Fergie-Ferg, she reveals a new song and her new short ‘do — and she’s the one snipping away at her hair. Here she is wielding the scissors:

Self.com spoke to hairstylist Andy Lecompte, who said Fergie cut 13 INCHES OFF HERSELF. He was on-hand to clean things up, namely keeping shorter strands in the back (and dyeing the hair in the back brunette). “It is an asymmetric cut when styled to the side, but if you part it down the middle you have more of an A-line bob,” Lecompte told Self.com, citing Debbie Harry as an inspiration. Yeah, we totally see it!
We’re not quite sure when this gorgeous haircut happened, but we’re sure we’ll be envying it all summer long.
