Fast and Easy 3-Ingredient Super Bowl Appetizers

Do you need a killer appetizer for the game this weekend but don’t have a lot of time to cook? No need to worry, we’ve got some great ideas for you. The truth is, as much as the editors at Southern Living love to spend time in the kitchen whipping up delicious party appetizers or savory slow-cooker chilis from scratch, we also enjoy the fun and simplicity that comes from using convenience products. A can of this, a package of that, and presto! You have a party appetizer that is guaranteed to be the hit of the party. We've put together a fun list of simple, three-ingredient party food ideas; most are popular traditional party foods, but some ideas are unexpected, as well. With only three ingredients and minimal prep and cook times, you can play around with the recipe, add more of this or less of that, or sub in something totally unexpected. Regardless of which team wins the trophy this Sunday, show up to the game with a selection from this list of easy party foods and you will be definitely be the MVP.

Cocktail meatballs: Chili sauce + grape jelly + frozen pre-cooked meatballs.  
Method: Warm chili sauce and jelly together, brown meatballs and add to the sauce.
Wow factor: Add pickled jalapenos

Chili Cheese Dip: Cream cheese + can of chili + shredded cheese  
Method: Using a slow cooker or Dutch Oven, layer the three ingredients and warm over medium heat, stirring often, while it all melts together.  
Wow factor: Top with jalapenos, cilantro, and lime

Ranch Chicken Dip: Cream cheese + ranch dressing packet + can of chicken
Method: Blend ingredients together in a food processor and serve as dip or spread
Wow factor:  Add toasted nuts, blanched sweet peas, or edamame

Pigs In A Blanket: Refrigerated biscuits + cocktail sausages
Method: Divide and flatten biscuits, place cocktail sausage in center and roll it up. Bake at 350° until biscuits are browned.
Wow factor: Add dried herbs to the biscuit dough; roll cheese with the sausage; drizzle biscuits with honey once baked; serve with barbecue sauce

Pesto Stuffed Mushrooms: Mushrooms + pesto + bread crumbs
Method: Spoon a tablespoon of pesto into mushroom caps, top with seasoned bread crumbs and bake at 350° until warm
Wow factor: Add shaved Parmesan cheese or crumbled bacon as a topping

Baked Brie: Brie cheese round + pepper jelly + sliced fruit
Method: Place wheel of Brie in a 350° oven for 5 to 10 minutes until warm and gooey. Top with pepper jelly and serve with sliced fruit.
More Baked Brie: Crescent roll dough (or refrigerated pie crust) wrapped around a wheel of Brie cheese and brushed with egg. Baked until golden brown and serve with apples and crackers.
Wow factor: Use your favorite fruit preserves or olive tapenade. Instead of fruit, serve with crackers or crostini.

Ultimate Cheese Dip: Rotel + Velveeta cheese spread + browned sausage
Method: Combine Rotel, browned sausage, and Velveeta in medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat until cheese is melted and mixture is blended.
Wow factor: Substitute a jar of salsa for the Rotel; add hot peppers to suit your taste
