This Dramatic Pink Bob Haircut Is the Most Mesmerizing Hair Transformation on Instagram

Joel Torres, a Miami-based hair stylist, posted a video on Instagram of himself giving one of his clients a hypnotizing hair transformation.

My Instagram Explore page is basically Extreme Makeover: Hair Edition. The grid is filled with so many side-by-side before-and-after photos that it's hard to be amazed by someone changing up their hair color or getting a bunch of hair chopped off anymore. However, I stumbled upon a hair transformation that is not only dramatic, but it is also mesmerizing to watch. Joel Torres, a Miami-based hair stylist, posted a video on Instagram of himself taking one of his clients from long, mermaid hair that Ariel would be jealous of to a gorgeous choppy, watermelon pink bob.

Instead of tying off her hair into a ponytail and cutting that off first, Torres used clippers to sleekly buzz off almost a foot of hair. All is done in one fell swoop. Now this is the kind of ASMR that I sign up for. (I can do without all the slime.) Then, Torres gets more precise with a pair of scissors to even out the ends and make them blunter. He even snips away the teeniest tiniest of hairs in a vertical motion that is so satisfying to watch. (It reminds me of this similarly hypnotizing haircut.) Torres also uses this technique to give his client baby bangs. I could seriously watch the video below over and over and over again for 15 minutes.

And in case you were wondering, Torres noted in the comments section that his client's hair was too damaged to donate. "If we have hair in good condition to donate, yes," he says. "I’ve done it many times but it wasn’t the case with this one."

I'm actually in love with the final style for this pink hair transformation. If my hair wasn't super curly (it would turn into a triangle with that length), I would definitely make a hair appointment ASAP and show my stylist this video.
