Celebrities are known for changing their appearance on the regular — and not just after a breakup. It’s also a tool of reinvention.
In an Interview with Footwear News, psychologist Zelana Montminy, PhD, explained, “When someone alters their appearance — when they are engaging in a new position — it signifies that they want to be seen in a different way.”
Maybe that rings true for the daughter of the president of the United States, Ivanka Trump, as she recently attempted to pull a fast one on us by announcing — with bright green eyes — that she would be relinquishing her duties behind her eponymous brand.
Note: Ivanka’s natural eye color is is brown — and thanks to loads of archived photos all over the Internet, she isn’t fooling any of us. But is she really the only notable who’s publicly experimented with popping in a pair of colored contact lenses? Absolutely not.
