Desigual Models Wear Snapchat Filters Instead of Makeup on the Runway

Future Blogger Fave: Desigual models are minutes from hitting the runway at New York Fashion Week, and they’re wearing Snapchat filters instead of makeup. MAC Cosmetics is responsible for the fun looks, and we’re hoping it will release a tutorial to re-create everybody’s favorite puppy-dog filter come Halloween.

The leaked looks also include a model wearing the fawn filter (sans rounded face, of course. Nobody is willing to ditch those sculpted cheekbones.) We’ve seen lots of bloggers re-create Snapchat filters, but few meet the runway standards like these looks do.

A dark-eyed, catlike makeup look also emerged with no corresponding Snapchat filter — is Desigual teasing an upcoming filter, or does it have another trick up its sleeve?

Even the nail art at the show is inspired by social media trends. Catch metallic iridescence in silver and gold, sponged ombré nails, and holographic manis on the Desigual runway, or on your feed on the ’Gram. “It’s a really fun do-it-yourself trend,” says MAC makeup artist and nail designer Keri B. “Desigual is all about color and texture and accessories, and what better way to do it than on your nails?”
