Dating Tips from Matchmaking Experts

Like so many people, Juliet’s search for love has run into a few snags. She seems to have it all – brains, beauty, and personality – but has yet to find the right guy. The Doctors bring in mother and daughter matchmaking duo, Janis and Carly Spindel, from Serious Matchmaking to help her.

With 25 years of experience and creating 2000 marriages, Janis and Carly have dubbed themselves “the best” matchmakers out there. And the best comes with a hefty price tag!

They tell The Doctors that their male clients pay anywhere from $50,000 up to 1 million dollars to find them their dream woman.

“Men are visual, they fall in love through their eyes… it is a man’s world out there, we’re just the messengers,” Janis contends.

Can Janis and Carly’s unconventional approach to matchmaking help Juliet? We sent the 50ish single mom, whose last relationship was in 2010, to the matchmakers to find out.

Janis and Carly’s tips for Juliet include:

  • Don’t cross your arms – you want to project openness with your body language

  • Be proactive – don’t be afraid to exude confidence and approach a man, don’t wait for a man to say hello first

  • Get out there – staying active, living a full life and going out into the world is key when it comes to meeting new people

  • Practice – talking to multiple people while out and about will help you develop and hone your dating skills

According to Janis, the main reason most people are single has to do with something their service takes care of. “At the end of the day, it’s all about timing in life and the reason why a gorgeous woman like [Juliet], who has the whole package, is single [is because] if you’re not in the right place at the right time, you’re probably not going to meet that person,” she says, explaining that their matchmaking will cut out the timing problem and vet potential matches to hopefully ensure a great match is made.
