Dakota Johnson Wore the Most Romantic Braid We’ve Seen in a While

Dakota Johnson plays a BDSM sub in Fifty Shades Darker, but at Thursday’s premiere, the 27-year-old actress embraced her romantic side.

Working with her go-to hairstylist, Mark Townsend, Johnson looked like the angel on her character Anastasia Steele’s shoulder with a loose braid that oozed innocence. Her woven plait was twisted and textured with messy pieces and face-framing angles. The intricacy of the braid was enhanced with a high-shine finish and rich, darkened color.

Johnson opted for a brown lip with rosy undertones, matching her lids and cheeks to make her features pop. Makeup artist Kate Lee structured Johnson’s face with subtle contouring and natural brows. Long, wispy lashes gave weight to Johnson’s upper lids for added romance. Cue the Sinatra.
