Cool Nail Polishes for Cool Weather

The best winter nail polish colors to wear right now (Photo: Keate)

In case you didn’t know, it’s actually still winter. While the magazine pages and beauty counters are filled with the latest and greatest spring colors, I’m still in the mood for winter nails. You know, nails that match the negative temps, the snowy sidewalks, and the icy grey skies. I’m saving the hot pink for the sun, so here are the shades I’ve got stashed to get me through the last of these chilly days.

Julep, Cameron ($14)

This will definitely satisfy your glitter craving (especially now that you know how to remove your sparkly mani). The silver lilac glitter looks good whether it’s on one nail or all ten.

Michael Kors, Glam Rendezvous ($18)

A shimmery purple polish that will help get you through the rest of March.

Nails Inc., Victoria ($14)

This limited edition cherry shade is infused with kale extract—yes, kale—helping nails stay nourished and hydrated.

Dolce & Gabbana, Peacock 730 ($26)

I picked up the shade in the photo back in the fall and it’s since become a big part of my nail rotation. Try Peacock, a cool navy from the new collection, to get the same look.

JINsoon x Tess Giberson, Heirloom ($18)

Created in collaboration with fashion designer Tess Giberson, this rich turquoise blue has the perfect amount of metallic shine.

Deborah Lippmann, Lullaby of Broadway ($20)

This blush shade, part of the limited edition New York Marquee collection, packs some serious shine making it the perfect transition color.

Lancôme, Nuit DAzur ($16)

This bright Yves Klein blue polish will definitely make your manicure standout on a grey day.
