Chrissy Teigen, confident ‘hooha’-revealing dress wearer, cookbook author, and pro-level tweeter, took questions about Thanksgiving on the social media platform and doled out some impressive (and hilarious) advice. The Lip Sync Battle host is cooking for 18 on Thursday, and as of Tuesday night was already prepping the massive meal. Although getting a seat at the model’s table would be the ultimate invite, for the millions of fans stuck with their families Teigen shared tips on how to include her in holiday plans. Also, she’s developing a follow-up to her cookbook, Cravings, with her recipe partner, Adeena Sussman, so you know she’s got the bona fides.
Teigen shared advice on the number of Thanksgiving sides. She’s making 12 because she likes to sample everything on a menu, but advises those who are cooking not to stress and just do the classics: potatoes, stuffing, green beans, and corn pudding.
She gave her thoughts on potatoes (like Teigen, we are also looking forward to smothering gravy on mashed potatoes).
When asked what cheeses she uses in her Thanksgiving mac and cheese, Teigen pulled in her husband, singer Jon Legend, who is making the dish.
For the turkey, she revealed that she is brining her bird, using a classic Alton Brown recipe.
Her least favorite Thanksgiving dish is actually very surprising.
What to do if the conversation turns political and heated? She’s got you covered.
If you’re smoking or frying your turkey, gravy can be a challenge. But does having no frond to deglaze mean no gravy? Apparently not, according to Teigen.
Not that into pumpkin pie? Watch Chrissy rapturously share an alternative dessert.
And what she’s most thankful for? You guessed it — adorable baby Luna.
