Chanel Couture: It’s All About The Super Short Bob

Thinking of giving your hair a chop to deal with the summer heat? Take a few tips from Tuesday’s Chanel Fall 2015 Haute Couture show and hairstylist Sam McKnight. For the intimate casino-themed show in Paris, McKnight sent models like Kendall Jenner, Lindsey Wixson, and Soo Joo Park down the runway with jet black, blunt, asymmetrical wigs. The back mimicked an undercut, with real hair pulled up tightly and fastened underneath the wig.

While this look is more on the dramatic side, there is a lot to love about a short chop that keeps hair off your neck and shoulders on a steamy day. Ask your stylist for a simple bob that is a little shorter in the back to keep you extra cool — if you’re feeling really bold, consider an undercut shave. Of course, a sleek bob isn’t complete without a swipe of red lipstick and a strong brow.
