On Instagram stories Thursday night, Cara Delevingne shared a picture of all her hair — not on her head.
The snap shows her pastel pink and purple hair hitting the floor with “oh no!” written across it. In what is certainly the most dramatic way to get rid of bleach-damaged hair, the photo is a hint that Delevingne will soon show off a big hair change.
While she hasn’t released a selfie yet, she did previously say that she’d be buzzing it all off for a role. “I have to shave my head for my next part, so I have to do something different. So I dyed it. Just for fun. Just to change it up,” the actress admitted while promoting Valerian at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.
If she did buzz it all off, Delevingne is in good company. Celebs are turning totally shorn locks into Hollywood’s latest trend. Zoe Kravitz recently went from a platinum-blonde pixie to a blonde buzz. Kristen Stewart also debuted a platinum buzz cut at the premiere of her film Personal Shopper. Even Katy Perry is getting in on the trend with a blonde buzz of her own. We can see why the look is catching on — it’s virtually no maintenance, while the color still gives the wearer an opportunity to show off some style.
The last time all of Hollywood’s It-girls rocked one hairstyle — remember the lob? — it became a worldwide trend. With this crew making the platinum buzz look so effortlessly chic, we have a feeling it might only be a matter of time until even more of us reach for the razor.
