This beauty blogger has shunned the 100 Layers Challenge that has been flooding the Internet these days, sidetracking it and, instead, shooting straight to the most bizarre face mask we think we’ve ever seen.

Rochelle Wickramasuriya, from Sri Lanka, has uploaded a video to her Instagram page that shows her rubbing a homemade concoction of cayenne pepper, chili, milk, honey and cinnamon into her face.

Wickramasuriya shares her instructions in the post above. “Add lemon juice to milk just before it reaches boiling point,” she says. “Once curdled, [separate] the milk fat and whip it until it becomes smooth in texture.”

“Leave in fridge to chill. Alternatively cottage cheese, [yogurt] or curd can be used to substitute milk fat.”
“Mix Cayenne Pepper, Cinnamon, honey with the milk fat. Apply all over face avoiding the eyes and other sensitive areas.”
Yikes, don’t get it in your eye or onto a scratch on your skin.
“Leave it on for 30-45 mins until it dries. Wash it off and VOILA! Glowing skin!”
The blogger, who shows no discomfort throughout the video, says the mask instantly adds a glow to the skin, brightens and tightens skin, and stimulates blood flow. It’s worth noting that this mask may work for Wickramasuriya as described, but cinnamon, pepper and lemon can irritate sensitive skin. Even though Wickramasuriya has glowing, gorgeous skin, if you have any skin sensitivity, we’d recommend checking with your dermatologist before trying the mask.
