Blake Lively’s Decade-Inspired Beauty Looks in The Age of Adaline

In the new movie The Age of Adaline, actress Blake Lively plays Adaline Bowman, a woman who magically stays 29 forever. Lively recently told the Huffington Post that it’s “tragic to be young forever” but in the film, she makes staying young, at least look amazing. Her character goes through each decade, starting in 1925 through present day, changing her hair and makeup to match the style and overall aesthetic of each decade. Using iconic images as inspiration, costume designer Angus Strathie, makeup artist Monica Huppert, and hairstylist Anne Carroll teamed up to make sure Lively’s look beautifully echoed each era.
