We woke up to great news this morning: Queen B nabbed the September cover of Vogue. And if you know anything about September issues, you know the covers are reserved only for the year’s most celebrated stars. Photographed by Mario Testino wearing a $12,000 Marc Jacobs dress, Beyoncé rocks wet hair and barely there makeup for her third, and most fashion forward, Vogue appearance. We think it’s her best yet.

The diva first appeared on the cover in April 2009 for Vogue’s annual Shape Issue looking elegant in a sleek ponytail and deep blue gown. For her second cover in March 2013, Beyoncé’s look had a bit of 1960s flair with winged liner and a black and white wardrobe — a look that was reminiscent of her 2011 “Countdown” music video.

We have no doubt we will be seeing plenty more Vogue covers from Beyoncé in the future. Which one is your favorite?

The Vogue September issue is available beginning August 14 at Target stores and on all newsstands August 25.
