The most formal of occasions used to call for a man to get his shaving game in top gear and leave the house with a face as polished and smooth as his patent leather lace-ups. But in 2017, seeing five o'clock shadow, a day or two of stubble, and even a full-blown beard on the red carpet is almost de rigueur (at least we haven't heard otherwise just yet). At this year's Golden Globes, there were as many facial hair moves as there were varieties of suits. And based on the Met Gala 2017 red, er cream carpet, the trend shows no signs of slowing down.
