Bella Hadid Goes Platinum Blond for Paper Magazine
Bella Hadid may not have won the 2016 Fashion Awards Model of the Year prize, but that doesn’t mean she’s not having a great year. She walked in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show for the first time, and has gotten no shortage of magazine covers this year. Paper is the latest fashion glossy to put the 20-year-old model on a cover for its Winter 2016 issue.
For the shot, Hadid sports platinum blond hair and edgy, colorful makeup, which includes oil-slicklike rainbow lips adorned with rhinestones. Hadid looks so much unlike herself (we’re used to seeing her dark brown hair) that if it were not for the tagline (and the ferocity she’s serving there), we would have wondered who this beautiful mystery woman covering the magazine actually was.
The cover was shot by Nicolas Moore, with creative direction and styling by Fucci and Shannon Stokes. The accompanying spread has a firm rocker vibe, as well as several images of Hadid’s nipple piercing, for anyone interested.
