This Skin-Softening Hand Cream Is What Your Dry, Cracked Cuticles Need

What if you could go to bed and wake up looking more beautiful than you did when you put your head on your pillow? Yes, a good night’s sleep works wonders, but there are plenty of products out there that aim to take your beauty to the next level — and all you have to do is lie there. What’s better than that?

But do they actually work? I put them to the test to find out and share the results in this weekly column, In Bed With.

The days of waking up wearing gloves filled with goopy overnight cream are in the past for most of us. But the dream of waking up with soft, smooth hands will never die.

In pursuit of that dream, I slept with Orly Argan Oil Hand Crème, and frankly, I’ve woken up with worse. While this thick cream isn’t specifically targeted for overnight use I’d also recommend keeping it within arm’s reach in the kitchen or on your office desk it works wonders on hands and cuticles when used overnight.

With the consistency of an old-school Body Shop Body Butter, you’ll feel downright luxurious smoothing this cream on your hands and into your nail beds as you slip into sleep.

The formula for the cream is enriched with argan and jojoba oils, as well as shea butter (ahh, that’s why it’s so buttery). Argan oil has been recommended by dermatologists for dry skin, and jojoba oil is very similar to your skins natural oils, providing added moisture.

It’s no surprise my hands and cuticles felt supple the mornings after I used this treatment, which is available at drugstores for $14. Go get you some!
