One thing all mothers understand is how to multitask. Ahead of husband Armie Hammer’s movie premiere on Thursday night, Elizabeth Chambers got her hair and makeup done while breastfeeding, making for a superglam — and practical — shot.
The photo underscores the importance of a supportive team. Makeup artist Monika Blunder — who shared the photo to her Instagram — and hairstylist Giannandrea are clearly unfazed by a mom at work. The photo has gotten plenty of support from Blunder’s fans, and even Chambers herself weighed in in the comments section. “Love, love, love everything about this!” she wrote.
This isn’t the first time that celebrity makeup artists have glammed up a new mother. Gisele showed off a similar photo with her hair, makeup, and nail team all surrounding her to get her work-ready.
The photo may look luxurious, but Gisele explained that her glam squad was on call after “15 hours flying and only 3 hours of sleep.” (Not that you could ever tell, thanks again to said glam squad.) At the time, Gisele’s photo caused an uproar among mothers who are deeply divided on breastfeeding.
In a hopeful sign of the progress that society’s made since Gisele’s 2013 picture, Chambers’s re-creation is getting nothing but love. Commenters called her “wonder woman” and “beautifully amazing.”
It’s the second reminder this week that women can be glam and get the job done. Gisele, Elizabeth Chambers, and Carrie Hall, the midwife who delivered a baby with her hair foils still intact, have a multitasking confidence in common.
Now where are the beauty teams for the rest of us so that we can also prove just how much we love to multitask?
