I can’t believe summer is almost over and I’m getting ready for fall. Nothing beats the fun of updating palettes and clothes to get ready for a new season. I want to keep it simple this year, and for me that means a uniform of jeans, T’s, and blazers. My favorite jeans right now are the AG Absolute Leggings. They fit me best and wear in perfectly in a few washes. My other new discovery is a little t-shirt I found called Mododoc; it’s the closest thing to what I wish the classic Hanes would look like on me. I buy them in black and white and wear them all year. Then I just update my wardrobe with a few new blazers and cardigans and I’m ready for anything.

From a beauty point of view, it’s time to recharge, rehydrate, and reorganize. I switch to a richer moisturizer and eye cream, and swap out tired makeup and summery shades for a deeper palette.

But until September hits, I plan on taking it all in: the beach, the ocean, and eating al fresco whenever possible. Thank goodness the messy bun is so acceptable, it’s all I can handle with the heat. My garden is full of beautiful cucumbers right now and I’m incorporating them into everything from salads to this refreshing cocktail.

Bobbi’s End Of Summer Cocktail

Take one cucumber. If you have a juicer, peel and juice half, and then muddle the other half. If not, just muddle.  Pour over ice with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, a dash of fresh squeezed lemon, thinly sliced cucumber, and a touch of hot sauce if you want to spice it up.

Enjoy the rest of your summer.
