For months, St. Louis mom Rebecca asked her daughter Audrey how she’d like to celebrate her upcoming third birthday and for months, Audrey refused to entertain an idea other than a poop-themed party. Finally, Rebecca and her husband decided to “embrace the weird,” she told the Huffington Post, and threw their kid a poop party.

Guests at the October party played “pin the poop” in the toilet, had whoopee cushion party favors, and enjoyed breaking Tootsie Roll- and Hershey’s Kisses-filled poop emoji piñatas. Rebecca even wore a human-size poop emoji costume - Audrey wore a flower-crown-wearing poop emoji sticker on her party outfit.

It’s unclear how any other 3-year-olds in attendance felt about the theme, but Audrey (and the party’s grown-up attendees) was thrilled. “I feel like in this time of Facebook and Pinterest, we sometimes get caught up in trying to impress other adults,” Rebecca explained. “This party wasn’t for me, it was for Audrey. I love that we will look back at pictures, and it will represent her at 3 ― my funny and quirky little girl.”

Shittiest party I’ve ever seen. I mean that in the absolute best way. It was just very difficult for me to get through writing this without one “shit” joke. Shit. I'm sorry. Shit, shit. I love this kid. Shit.
