Ferrari 488 GTB: In Pictures

Ferrari's latest V-8 supercar arrives as a challenge not just to the upstart McLaren and Porsche owners of the world, but the orthodoxy of Ferrari itself. The 488 GTB heralds the next era of Ferrari power by using a 3.9-liter, twin-turbo V-8 in place of the unboosted engines that have powered street-going Ferraris for decades. In its current form, Ferrari says the engine's 660 horsepower and 560 lb-ft of torque — combined with a reworked seven-speed dual-clutch automatic — get the 488 GTB to 62 mph in a flat 3 seconds, with a top speed of 207 mph. More importantly for Ferrari acolytes, the company says it went to extraordinary lengths to make the new turbo mill as engaging as resonant as those that came before — something which will be debated for the next few years of production.
